Home-Based Family-Centered Casework Services
We provide a high-quality service that is effective in reducing maltreatment, improving caretaking, and coping skills, enhancing family resilience, supporting healthy and nurturing relationships, as well as improving children and adults physical, mental, emotional, and educational well-being. We utilize strength-based approaches, mindfulness exercises, motivational interviewing, deductive reasoning, and more including informal and formal evidence base practices and techniques.
Resource Family Support
We provide community-based services to foster and relative/kinship placement. USCD's goal is to help enrich their skills for the development of the youths in their home. USCD provides community resources, curriculums, tools, and evidence-based practices based on the family's needs.
We focus on enhancing parenting practices to assist the parent or guardian with positive discipline techniques, child development skills, understanding milestones, and locating and accessing community resources. USCD utilizes several tools, curriculums, and evidence-based practices and techniques.
Homemaker/ Parent Aid
We provide help and support for parents who have barriers to fulfilling their parenting and homemaking responsibilities. USCD assists our families through advocating, teaching, demonstrating, monitoring, and/or role modeling utilizing curriculums, tools, and evidence-based practice.
**Specialized services upon request
Urban Suns mentoring services assist youths with daily living skills, and life skills, while role modeling and encouraging the youth to obtain and maintain self-sufficiency. In an effort to increase the areas of their life to become productive citizens.
**NDO-no days off
NDO training is designed to provide balance training of all bio-motor abilities including strength, speed, flexibility, balance, and coordination for athletes who are 12 years of age and older. Check out NDO, “goalgettaz” in the lab.
